<div itemprop="description">It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William (Bill) Carter at the age of 89 years, of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10th, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Born August 27th, 1935, in Montreal and lived his whole life in the greater Montreal area. <br> <br>After attending Westmount High School and undergraduate studies at McGill University. Bill held positions at Westeel Products Ltd, Foundation Company, Northern Electric, Dominion Bridge, and retired as President/Owner of Patch Acoustical Ltd. <br> <br>Bill will be remembered for his endless sense of humour, so many memorable times with family and friends locally and in Magog, QC. and Sarasota, Fl. He was a passionate sports fan, loved playing golf, travelling and of course adored his country music! <br> <br>“Willie”, as he was fondly referred to by his immediate family , was a devoted family man and is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Gladys (Worth); children Linda, Ron, Jimmy (Natalie) and Tom (Lisa); grandchildren, Shawn (Amanda), Jennifer (James), Kara (Alex), Cole, Corey, Lindsay (Justin), Chris, Glen, and Tyler (predeceased); great grandchildren, Lane and Evan; siblings Maisie, Joe, Bob (Suzanne); and sister-in law Monique Worth. Predeceased by his parents, Laura May (Tostevin) and Thomas Henry Carter. <br> <br>A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 9th, 2025 from 12-2 pm at the Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boul. Dollard-Des-Ormeaux, QC. H9B2A6 <br> <br>In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Parkinson Canada. <br> <br></div>
