It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Wilson (Jin Bong) Jay, who passed away on October 3rd, 2025 at the age of 92. His spirit endures in the hearts of those who survive him: his devoted wife of 69 years, Anna (Kit Yee), whose partnership was a source of strength and joy; his beloved children Nancy (Fai), Danny (Mary), and Dickson (Theresa), each of whom carry forward treasured memories and lessons of love. As a grandparent to Andrew (Barbara), Stephanie (Benjamin), Kevin, Matthew, Bryan, Kimberly, and Olivia, and as a great-grandparent to Cassandra, Julian, Daisy, and Nathan, his gentle guidance and unconditional affection shaped generations. The legacy of his compassion and love lives on, inspiring family and friends to honour his memory by living with kindness, gratitude, and unity.

Arriving in Canada at the age of 18, Wilson demonstrated determination and a strong work ethic early on, supporting his father in the family business while pursuing his high school education. After returning to Hong Kong to marry Anna, he came back and worked tirelessly in the restaurant industry to build a new life for his new family. Throughout the decades thereafter, he eventually founded and operated five restaurants and other related business ventures. Through his entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering dedication, Wilson laid the groundwork for his family's prosperity in Montreal, leaving a lasting legacy of resilience and success.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Hospital Foundation (link below under "Make a donation"), both in honour of his memory and in heartfelt gratitude for the compassionate care given by the medical staff.
