He will be fondly remembered by his sisters, brothers, in-laws, nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends many of whom are in Portugal.

Born in Leiria, Portugal, Carlos had 6 brothers and sisters. In his late teens he joined the Portuguese Air Force where he received his aeronautical training. In 1961, Carlos immigrated to Montreal, where he subsequently worked as an avionics inspector at Air Canada until his retirement in 1992.

Carlos was always devoted to his family and his 7 grandchildren meant the world to him. He often spoke of his love of Portugal with great pride.

Carlos loved to read, fish, travel and was a soccer and Grand Prix enthusiast. He was renowned by everyone that knew him as being able to fix anything. He was inquisitive and had a thirst for learning and would pass on his knowledge as he did. May he rest in peace.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Montreal would be appreciated.
https://www.canadahelps.org/en/pages/help-change-the-future-of-alzheimers-in-memory-of-/
