We are devastated to announce the passing of Dario Fraticelli, of Pointe-Claire, QC.
Dario passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024 at the age of 66, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife Erin (Malone); his daughters Kayla, Jessica, Monica, and Julia; and his siblings Marco, Rina, and Carlo.
Dario was an amazing kind-hearted soul, full of life and always willing to help. He seemed to have found the secret to unending optimism, bringing joy and laughter to the lives of everyone who knew him.
He led an extraordinary life. Family was so important to him, and he was incredibly proud of his daughters - making sure they always knew how much he loved them, and carrying on traditions like regular trips to Disney!
A man of many interests, Dario’s biggest passion was music - singing, writing, and playing with his band That Darn Kat. Music also gave him the opportunity to travel which introduced him to two new passions: cigars and tequila! You would often find him enjoying both at home in the company of friends. Along with music, Dario loved being on the ice and was an active member of the Pointe-Claire and Dorval Old Timers Hockey Associations. Dario was also in the process of obtaining his pilot's license.
Dario’s passing comes as a great shock and is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others in his wide-network of community who loved him deeply. The family very much appreciates your support during this difficult time.
To honour Dario’s memory, a celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM (with remarks at 2:00 PM) at Canvas Montreal Reception Loft, located at 870 Rue Notre Dame, Lachine, QC H8S 2B7. We invite friends and family to attend and remember his wonderful life. Dress is casual - bright colours encouraged!
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dario’s name to the Cedars Cancer Foundation:
