It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of Dimitrios Linardakis on October 22nd, at the age of 88. Greatly loved and missed by his devoted wife of 56 years Fani Linardakis (née Bakis), his children Anna (George Grigoriadis) and Michael (Chrisa Kourvetaris) and his beloved grandchildren Elias & Dimitrios Grigoriadis, Dimitrios, Fani-Christina & Thomas Athanasios Linardakis.

He is also mourned by his loving sister Angela Astrakianakis (née Linardakis) and his in-laws George and Kathy Velkos, Eleni Papadopoulou, Niki Petropoulos, Triantafilos and Ioanna Vasilopoulou, and many nieces and nephews.

He was born in the city of Iraklion, in Crete, Greece. He always fondly spoke of his beginnings and was immensely proud to be a «Kritiko».

We shall miss his contagious sense of humour and wit and his « stories » of the war and his forebearers.

A man of true intelligence, fearless and spunky, he left a lasting impression on all who knew and loved him. A barber by trade, he worked tirelessly to provide for his family and generously helped those who were less fortunate.

It is now time to rest with the angels up above. Soar high as you are now free of the illnesses that tied you down. Love you forever, love you for always. Rest in eternal peace.
We love you,
Your wife, children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation:
https://mountsinaifoundation.crowdchange.ca/1573/page/5804

In light of the current Covid Pandemic, the famiily respectfully requests that solely those who are fully vaccinated attend the viewing, church services and burial. Thank you for your understanding.

Family and friends who cannot attend but wish to support and join the family virtually, may use the following link on Friday October 29th 2021 as of 6pm: https://funeraweb.tv/diffusions/39652
