It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Fiona (nee Shiell) Hellstrom, on July 1, 2024, at home surrounded by her adoring family. Beloved wife of Ron Hellstrom for 57 years, she was a devoted mother to Laurie (Anthony), Scott (Kimberley), and the late Robbie.
Proud Nana to Talia (Max), Emma (Lorenzo), Abigail, and Finley. Fiona will be deeply missed by her sisters Haze and Zoe in Scotland, as well as her nieces and nephews.
Fiona dedicated over 40 years to education, starting al the M.C.H. Learning Centre and was a founding member of the Learning Associates of Montréal. Fiona's joie de vivre was evident in her passion for organizing celebrations, traveling with lifelong friends, and her love literature, tennis, golf, and gardening.
The family expresses gratitude to her caregivers at the MUHC and Vaudreuil CLSC for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MUHC DOVE Egene project in Fiona's memory would be appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
