JOHANSSON (nee GUNN), GAIL: It is with deepest sorrow that Gail's family announces her untimely passing, peacefully, with grace and surrounded by love, on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montréal, QC.

She was the cherished wife of Gary Johansson, most adored mother of Scott (Elaine) (late Lynn), Bruce (Karin), Ross (Erita) and Keith (Laura), beloved “Nanny” of Philippe, Owen, Melissa, Foster, Marcus, Leilani, Lauren, Kate, Emma and Grace. She leaves to mourn many treasured nieces, nephews and wonderful friends who loved and supported her always.

We marvel at her nimble wit, clever rationale and remarkable memory. By her unselfish love and her willing and generous spirit, she showed us how to survive what life throws at you, and knowing you’d be ok. We are indeed truly blessed to have had her as our mother, guide and mentor all these years. Her marriage to Gary was one of promises kept and pure devotion. They still held hands and shared a commitment like no other.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Gail’s life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SPCA at, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada at or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Rideau Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 4275 boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Québec, H9B 2A6 (438-834-0292) entrusted with arrangements.

Remembrances and condolences may be shared at
