It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gregory McCollam, at the age of 67. Born on June 12, 1957, in Verdun, QC, Gregory was the beloved son of Robert McCollam and Phyllis Donegani.

Gregory will be remembered as the kindest and the most thoughtful soul. His devotion and care for his family and friends was his greatest attribute. He leaves behind a legacy of love which will never be forgotten.

Gregory's generosity, wisdom, and unique ability to make everyone feel heard, whether through his thoughtful advice, his quick-witted humour, or the quiet acts of giving he shared with those around him, will always stand out and be remembered.

He was passionate about sports and was an enthusiastic athlete and fan. He had a particular love for golf, hockey, soccer, baseball and football. His competitive spirit but kind personality was evident in all his pursuits, but it was his joyful spirit and infectious enthusiasm for these games that left a lasting impact on all those who knew him. As a member of the Keltic Golf Club for over 20 years, Gregory loved playing golf with his buddies every Saturday morning in and around Montreal. They also often travelled to Myrtle Beach, and most recently to Barnstead, New Hampshire. They always had a wonderful time together.

Gregory is survived by his forever loving wife, Beata; daughters Ashley (George) and Kelsey; brothers Douglas (Joni) and Rodney (Cheryl); his niece Amanda (Harry); nephews Connor, Jason ( Caroline), and Shane (Andrea); and his great-nephew Callum. He also leaves behind countless friends and family who will miss him greatly. He was predeceased by his parents, as well as his beloved sister Sharon and his loyal dog Cody (the best golden retriever ever!) who was his constant companion and source of joy.

The family will receive condolences at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd. DDO, QC on November 29,2024 , from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gregory’s memory can be made to the chartable organization of your choice.
