Irene’s parents were Harry and Mary Long. She was much loved by her sister Louise and brother-in-law Les.
She will be remembered by her cousins both here and in Scotland. Toronto was her birth place living also in Windsor and Winnipeg until she moved to Pointe-Claire. Quebec was her home for 59 years. Ford Canada was her place of work for 46 years.
Irene’s love was singing. She was able to use her talents for the pleasure of other for many years. Her church and her friends filled her life.
Fred, Phyllis, Victor and April, Carole, Peter, Ethan and MaryLynn, Susan (predeceased) Barb, Alan and Michael, Pearl and Bruce, Shawn and daughter Skyla all became Irene’s family.
We all will miss her.
Visitations to take place at Rideau Funeral Home (4275, boul. des Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux) on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m.
In her memory, donations to the CHSLD Vigi DDO or to the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated.
