After a full and active life, we are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our mother, Jean Brown, on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the age of 88. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, William (Bill) Brown. She was the devoted mother to Deborah (Steve), David (Sophia), Richard (Erlene) and Diane. Jean deeply cherished her six grandchildren Andrew, Michael (Sophie), James, Jonathan, Kaitlyn and Ryan and was overjoyed with her great grandson William. She also leaves behind her brother Milford Mollon. She is pre-deceased by two brothers, Roy and Lorne.

Jean will be forever remembered for her kind and accepting personality that made you feel you were her favourite. She was always available to talk, have a quick game of cards or hear about the latest adventures of her grandchildren. Jean’s baking skills were very much in demand, particularly pies for her grandchildren. She had very fond memories of trips to Barbados and Cuba with family. Jean will be greatly missed by all her family and friends who came to know and love her during her long life.

We would like to extend our appreciation to The Cambridge, particularly Ruth, who was always looking out for her. Jean had an active and happy time living there and enjoyed the new friends she made over the last few years. She was especially proud of winning the “Sports Person of the Year” award last year.

Due to the current pandemic, a celebration of Jean’s life will be held when family and friends can gather together again sometime later in 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations to your favourite charity would be appreciated.
