Mabel Olive Bartlett
(nee Seal)

October 31, 1921 - September 9, 2020

On September 9, 2020, our mom, Mabel Seal Bartlett ever so gently passed away. Mom was 98 years old and would have turned 99 in October. Family was by her side. She is survived by her three children John, Pamela and Dianne, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren along with a brother and sister living in England. Her husband Wilfrid, passed away January 2004.

Mom was a British WW 2 nurse and worked in an isolation hospital for contagious diseases. She met dad, a Canadian soldier and married in
1945, arriving in Canada as a War Bride. They settled in Baie Comeau, Qc. and raised their family, later to retire in Pointe Claire.

Mom passed away at Ste. Anne's Hospital. The family wish to thank her doctor, the entire nursing team and her PAB's on T-10 who provided
exceptional care during her four years at Ste. Anne's and also to the staff at Grace Dart (CH-2) for their exceptional care while mom was a resident for seventeen months.

Due to the pandemic, burial will be private and at a later date, a celebration of life will take place. As mom would like to say when things became a little crazy, "have a seat, put your feet up and have a beer". Amen to that, mom!

Final arrangements are in the care of Rideau Memorial.
