It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grand-mother and great grand-mother, Olga Ann Boychuk (nee Andrews) on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her two loving sons Michael (Debbie), Richard (Lynne), her grand-children Kimberly (Robert) Michael-Ryan (Kyle) Melanie (Brett) and Derek (Catherine), as well as her great grand-children Kayleigh and Finn.

She was born in the Ukraine on October 27, 1927, and immigrated to Canada in 1935, where she and her beloved late husband, Michael raised their family. Over the years, she developed many long-lasting friendships and enjoyed spending time with her friends on trips to Plattsburgh for a shopping spree, playing cards, or just driving around (which she did until 94) visiting friends and family, along with her weekly trips to her children in the West Island to deliver her home baked goodies. She was blessed to have been both a grandmother and a great grandmother and she truly adored them.

She lived a full life, and although she lost the love of her life far too early, she continued to preserve the strong family values she and our father instilled in all of us. She was feisty, strong-willed and had a mind of her own, but most importantly she was caring and loving and would do anything for her family and friends. Mom, we will miss you dearly and take comfort in the fact you are now re-united with Dad, Baba, and Gijo. Your memory lives on in those you touched and loved and while you will very much be missed, rest assured you will never be forgotten. Our love for you is eternal.

We would like to thank the caring staff at the CHSLD du Manoir-de-l’Ouest-de-l’Ile for their kindness, compassion and care over the last five months.

Visitation will be on Thursday October 24, 2024, (2:00pm-4:00pm) and (7:00pm-9:00pm with Panahyda at 7:30pm) at the Rideau Funeral Home 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard Des Ormeaux H9B 2A6. A funeral service will be held on Friday October 25, 2024 at 9:45am at The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish 6185 – 10th Avenue Montreal (Qc) H1Y 2H5.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of her to the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence would be greatly appreciated.
