<div itemprop="description">It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Violeta (Violy) Velasco , who peacefully left us on Wednesday, October 16th 2024. Born on September 24th 1959, she was a beloved spouse, parent, sibling, and friend. <br> <br>Violeta Velasco will be dearly missed by her loving children Jacqueline Mirador and Jessica-Lyn Mirador, her long-wed husband Manuel (Quezon) Mirador; her siblings Sherlita Mercado, Berlita Velasco and Weibe Velasco; her extended brother and sister-in-laws in the Mirador-Aquino family, the Velasco family and in the Mirador-Untalan family; her nieces and nephews; especially Ian and Beverly who was like a second mother to them, her dearest friends, her close co-workers over the years and more. <br> <br>Known for her kindness, stubbornness, her hospitality, her infectious laughter, Violy touched the lives of all who knew her. She will forever be remembered for making sure everyone ate and felt cared for. A mother to everyone. <br> <br>Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, located at 4275 Sources Boulevard, Dollard-des-Ormeaux (Quebec) H9B 2A6, on Wednesday, October 30th, from 3:30pm until 9pm. The funeral service will follow on Thursday, October 31st at 10:30am, and she will be laid to rest at the Rideau Funeral Home at 12pm. <br></div>
